This isn’t as bad as it sounds.

Ulfur Hrobjartsson, President of the Icelandic Sailing Federation told us at yesterday’s Connect to Sailing Seminar that as a result of running an ISAF how to set up a National Sail Training Programme so many people want to sail that they have run out of boats. They are now running hybrids with a hull from here and a mast from there (we’ll call it a development class). If anyone wants to donate some unused boats I’m sure Ulfur would love to receive them.  It is great hearing success stories from around the world and shows what can be done if you can get people sailing in the chilly waters of Iceland, where they had to import wetsuits because you can’t buy them locally.
